“I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost my mind. There was something so pleasant about that place.” Gnarls Barkley

Well, Free Fire is the crazy you want to watch and listen over and over.

Synopsis: Set in Boston in 1978, a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two gangs turns into a shootout and a game of survival.

After its brilliant, psychological, anticipating film High Rise with Tom Hiddleston, Luke Evans, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Ben Wheatley is already on fire! Free Fire tells a pretty easy story of a gun deal going mad. But no one could ever have filmed that story like Ben. The dark humour, the games of the accents, the brutality and suspense in each scene is just amazing. This real Hunger Games is brutal and fun and there is no certainty for someone to get out of there alive. Because it’s a Ben Wheatley creation, Free Fire as High Rise is a huge critic of the gun market but especially of the people using them.

Free Fire wouldn’t be as crazy and good without its casting and its scenario. Characters are everything. Even though Ben Wheatley is juggling with 12 characters, everybody has his own personality, 70’s look, accent. When things are going south, very quickly, you are not even lost. Brie Larson, freshly Oscar owner, is playing the only woman so nobody can forget her. Cillian Murphy, Armie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Michael Smiley, Jack Reynor and the rest of the cast are just the best of the best.

Be ready for an explosion of laugh and gunshots! A film like nothing else, a Ben Wheatley creation!
